Awkwafina An American performer and actress, started by releasing a humorous rap track which dealt with the subject of sexual and race. The career of the singer and actress grew to Hollywood after she released several rap songs. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants from Forest Hills Queens her first taste of musician life came in the form of the trumpet. Later, she began traditional and hip-hop training. When she was in college, she focused on her studies and studied women's studies and journalism. In a short period during her time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also available. The focus changed to music only after she finished her studies. The song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity via the Internet in 2012. It eventually made it on her debut album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. The album also included popular hits that went viral, such as body-positive Queef or the winking city tour NYC Bitche$. This track was directly linked to another project, Awkwafina's NYC a travel guide published in the year 2015. A musician and author was on her resume she determined to pursue an actor for a third venture. She's appeared in movies such as Neighbors 2, Storks, and Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed several notable roles including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. That June she issued the EP in Fina We Trust.
