Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero was an American model and singer. She is also co-starring in Prince's 1984 film, Purple Rain. She was the lead female performer in Apollonia 6 and co-starred in Prince's film Purple Rain from 1984. The 1980s saw the singer-actress Prince christened Apollonia to be one of the many female performers who gained from working with the prince. Patricia Kotero was born in Santa Monica, California in the year 1959. Her professional career began as a model during the 1970s. She also appeared on CHiPS. In 1984, Patricia Kotero was a part of the main actress in Prince's Purple Rain. (During this period, she also changed her surname) Then she was replaced by Vanity of the female group Vanity 6 which starred in the movie with Apollonia 6 under their name. Sex Shooter on the soundtrack made a tiny success for the trio, but as Prince's Duet Partner on Take Me with You she was more successful. The two were dispute about the direction of her career Apollonia 6 broke up, and Kotero quit her relationship with Prince. The actress appeared in several small films, including the sequel to Purple Rain Under the Cherry Moon (which she did not want to be in) as well as landing the role of Falcon Crest on the Night-Time Drama Falcon Crest from 1985-1986. Apollonia made her debut in 1988 but the fairly pedestrian set of R&B/dance songs failed to be a hit with people who buy music and the album soon vanished from sight. In the years that followed the singer-songwriter remained an active actress, playing minor roles in films and a few TV series. In 1997 Apollonia recorded a bilingual album in Spanish and English entitled Stay with me. After returning to school and receiving a degree for filmmaking she founded her own production business. Her other films and television shows include Black Magic Woman, The Divorce Ceremony and many more. Kotero debuted her career as a model. Kotero is an American actress has starred in numerous music videos among them those of Ray Parker Jr. Kotero is also an entrepreneur, and has established Kotero Entertainment which is a multi-media entertainment company.
