Marcia Gay Harden
Marcia Gay Harden is the fifth of her siblings born in La Jolla on 14 August 1959. Beverly Bushfield is her mother employed as a domestic worker during the time that Thad Harold Harden served working in the Army. She began to develop an interest for theatre during her time together with family members in Greece and taking part in plays in Athens. Harden attended American Universities across Europe before returning to the US after 1983 to continue her education at University of Texas. She earned an MFA from NYU and started her career as an actor. The actress had acted in one film in 1986 with The Imagemaker, but her debut role in a major film was Miller's Crossing, the Coen Brothers humorous, witty tribute to the gangster genre. Harden's gorgeous portrayal as Verna who was a mysterious, seductive moll, received positive reviewers. Harden was subsequently busy as a supporting character, such as her portrayal as Ava Gardner in Sinatra (1992) the biopic for television about Frank Sinatra.
