Jill Hennessy
Her mixed heritage includes Irish Italians, Swedish, Italians as well as French and Ukrainians. Her twin sister, Jacqueline, is an actress as well. Jill learned to speak various languages, including Italian, French, Spanish while growing as a child. Her interest in the world of acting when she was twelve. The path to acting began in Toronto as she was the escort for David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers, along with her sister. After a course in improv taught by Deb Kimmet from Second City, she began her acting career in Toronto. After moving to New York, Claire signed a contract for two years in Law & Order to be the Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid. The three years she spent on the show as a character, she also had the privilege of doing feature film roles such as RoboCop 3 (1993), Ron Howard's The Paper (1994), and I Shot Andy Warhol (1996). For the next few years she had a chance to appear in many forgettable film however, in 1999 she was cast as a lead in the micro-series uremberg with Alec Baldwin. In major productions, including Autumn in New York and Exit Wounds followed. She was cast as a lead in NBC's crime series Crossing Jordan. And in 2007 for her work to the series she was awarded a Gracie Allen as the "Outstanding Female Leading in a Drama Series". She married another actor, Paolo Mastropietro in 2000. They have two children together. She was inducted into the Canadian Walk of Fame in 2007.
